I got my clicks on Route 66

Man, I have to say it is hard to remember the days, I gave up wearing a watch countries ago, I think that was in Mexico. I went to put in on when I was in Florida, but then every state I went to, the times changed. Okay, maybe not every. I would get on the puter for hours, looking at the time and it was Canada time, so I would go to bed a 1 and really it was 3am. So I do believe it is June 3.

Off we left for ROUTE 66.. Funny how cracked up ,it is made to be. I actually had a fabulous time in a couple of stores. The road isn't too impresive, no curves or twisties to speak off.
This one store we parked in front of , his name is Angel. He is a old Mexican guy and lived there all his life. He has done everything he can to keep it alive. He is a barber and that is how it started out on Route 66. Of course that interested me!
I had my picture take with him, and will post it in my shop. We bought a bunch of memorabilia, and could have bought the whole shitteroo, for me Bro Blingo and his cool garage.
But with all the traveling I have been doing i got about as much room for a couple more pins for my vest, and nothing more.. You can go on line and get all this cool stuff any way.
We parked outside his place had our pics taken with him. His place was absolutely full of tourists from all over the world. A very friendly man. When we walked in, he said.... Hi, Welcome home!! I had no idea who he was at first! So once we went out to get on our bikes, it was like being celebrity's. Everyone wanted to have their picture taken with us.. Whooo hooo, 15 minutes of fame on Route 66..........Time to leave, and as we were leaving I glanced down at the milage since we left our motel.. It read.........66.6

I was feelin pretty proud even though no one could see. I then switched to the milage of when I left the Palladino's. It turn 4000 clicks on Route 66!!!
I thought that was totally cool, and seeings as I was on my way to Vegas, those would be my lucky numbers. I said I would play $66 that is it, what ever i won, half would go to charity. Panzer said the same.

At the end of Route 66 was a Harley Dealership, I believe it was Kingston. Of course I had to buy a cool Harley shirt for me and my man, and another pair of gloves as my blew out of the luggage.

So down the road we go to head to Hoover Dam, before Vegas. First it's time to fuel up and get hydrated again.
I am mostly behind Panzer so here we are turning right onto the highway from the service station, on a hill, no problem I came to a complete smooth stop, with my head up. I put my feet down, and the left side was in a bit of a rut, so there she goes AGAIN!!!!
That friggin sound of the throttle ya new no matter how hard ya try, you were going down. No matter how much you know you can't pull it back up, you keep trying!! Down she goes, Panzer to the rescue again, no way could I have picked her up with the frustration, the heat, and the aching arm. It still hurt from putting her down to rest in the sand. Argh!! I am not happy with myself!

So that delays us awhile, while Panzer and Sandown gives me a pep talk. Panzer straightens out my highway pegs. I try to straighten out my mind. Am I loosin it or what?? Is this bike that I travelled so far for and had so much fun getting to know, is it too big for me?? What can I do to fix it, other than buy platform boots.

I am trying to follow all I learned from Motorman and Doc, and I feel I am riding good through town, around twisties, my corners are great, but my short assed legs...Arggggh!!!
Okay so enough of that, we headed to the Hoover Dam and man oh man it was a cooker.. Driving through a huge big pizza oven. I am trying to wear a coat, seeings I can't keep the bike up, but it is hard to do. We have our little rest in the airconditioned gift shop and I am looking at all the traffic building up!! I look down at the dam, and damn... look at those twisties!! 15 mile per hour.. I am still not over the drop....I can do it, I can do it...
I know Panzer was reading my mail, because you don't just drop a bike and get over it!!! So he said his distance, and we hardly got out of town, and there was a Casino and he pulled over and we booked a room.
Things will get better I thought, go have a shower and dinner, go spend 66 bucks to win some for the charity. Dinner was great, and great company!! Lots of laughs, and another pep talk.
Y'all might have guessed there was no winnings!!!!!
So I try to hook up the internet in my room and it just isn't working for 10 bucks and a credit card which I don't have...another story!! I came down here and spent 35 bucks on the internet..lol. That was last night, this morning another quick 20 bucks to finish my post.
Today is a new day, and I may as well laugh at my errors, cause cryin about it, just gonna make me feel bad. Think positive , and postive things will happen.

We are headed to DEATH VALLEY this morning, sounds pretty scarey to me..lol Sounds pretty dang hot anyway!
No pics again today using the hotel puter. Got some great ones to share and they will be worth the wait!!
On the road again!!!

Hey little sis, it's Bea. What is your ETA for Canada? I can't see you being here by the 7th. Are you still on track?

Don't be too hard on yourself about dropping your bike. After 4,000 km, it's bound to get "a little heavy".
