Messages from my Conga Escorts and Friends

First, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everybody that has helped Flo to accomplish her journey, especially Motorman and Donna as they were the one's who not only sold her the bike but in a few short days helped her to better understand her new bike. With that said, Flo has had many a trying day, as all who have followed her blog and postings can see. She's had days where she just wanted to quit and pack it in, but she didn't because she's shown the courage and the strength to pick herself up, dust herself off, and keep on trying.........and with that has come success....... which is the one true measure of a Pro.
I can personally attest to the strength of this woman as I have pushed her on more than one occasion to carry on through the adversity, and she's come through in spades, and I couldn't be more proud of her.
Flo you've shown the world what one person can do if they set their mind to it, and as I explained to you the day before we departed, the word Pro has a distinct meaning to it, and that is simply that in order to become a Pro you have to attain a degree or level that stands you above and beyond the average rider, and after riding and working together with you for over a week, I believe that you have attained that, and I know that you will continue to move forward and always be looking for that next new move on the bike that will that will elevate your riding skills to an even higher degree.
Thank you Flo for the experience of allowing us to ride with you, and coming from a guy that has spent over 40 years on motorcycles and Off Road Racing as a professional rider/driver I would be more than happy to ride with you anytime!
Cheers, (and keep the chin up and the wheel straight LOL)

Well, it's 11:45 pm here on the Left Coast and I just got in. I've hung my wet coat, gloves and pants by the fire, and the boots down in front. I have to tell you... that was the wettest ride I have ever been on.
I hooked up with the Fuhr factor at Parksville and tailgunned Big E, Blingo and Flo the 65 kms to Courtenay. Flo was done for. Cold, wet, tired and yet elated. As we passed thru Bowser (40 kms south of Courtenay) we could see bright sky ahead. As soon as the sun shone thru... Flo gunned it and we zoomed into Courtenay. Judy, Frank, Gino & Dafurry One were waiting for us... hot chocolate in hand. After a blanket and dry runners were put on Flo... she hauled out her camera and continued to document the Congo Line.
Then, Judy went home and got her car. Carl went home. Frank took my Spyder to his house. Flo got into Judy's car. I got to ride La Reina home. It was one of the proudest moments of my life, especially as a motorcyclist. I'm so proud to have been able to ride the last 25 miles of the Congo Line with Eric, we got the bike home. I'll be able to remember this day for ever. I rode Jerry Paladino's bike, now Barber Flo's (as we like to call her) the last 25 miles.
Congratulations to Flo for completing the trip that many of us have only dreamed of attempting. As her friend, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who participated physically in the ride, showed her emotional support on the forums, and those who contibuted financially to the State $ challenge and the auctions.
Flo, I'm proud of you, way to go girl, you did it!!!

Flobee,
I know Im going to start to leak here, but holy shitsticks batman, I gotta tell ya.
You are one hell of a woman!!!! Ya dug up the nerve to make this cross country trip with strangers and ya did it well!
Think I told ya already but if it wasnt for you doing this, I wouldnt have taken the opportunity to visit any of the states. INSANE or STUPID or just OVERCONFIDENT I took it upon myself to ride alone through the states to be there for you and to make sure you made it home in one piece, not to mention my little deceitful surprise I had waiting. Sorry gals I had to push her just one more day but she will agree it was well worth it!!!
You are a strong sista and once you get some rest(like we all need) the you and LA REINA will continue to bond(she is not a biatch)
Thank you so much for allowing me to share your journey with you and being able to be the one to bring you home from the California border to the Island!
I lubs ya my sista from another mista!!!! And I miss ya already!!
And WE ALL ROCK!!!!!!

It was very exciting to see the Conga pull in to Courtenay with Spyderman tonight. I felt like I was part of the whole ride - your brothers are awesome Flo. Dragon - you rock pulling off that big surprise. Would loved to have been there to see Flo's face!!. Anyway, I can attest that she is safe in her home and hopefully alittle warmer now. Knowing her she'll get a second wind and be on the blog soon. What a fantastic biker family you all are.

Hey is she across the border???? I can't believe this is the day she will make it home....I too just like a lot of the people on these forums am so happy for Flo....missing her terribly and wanting to do it all over again...
I have watched and listened and planned and all since the beginning and I can't decide if I should be happy or sad...as others have said I have laughed and cried along her route with her in person and in spirit and all I can say is "Kudos Girlfriend" You did it and I am so proud of you....
Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, not just those who made it hapen but those who cheered from the sidelines your all wonderful...
Big Hugs, Vi

OMG- looks like you missed a state, you better go back and ride through it...........what happen to ALABAMA?
I'm telling you this, you are giving all of us (newbies) or least me inspiration and hopefully one day I can take journey like you have!!
I have really enjoyed reading about your adventures and your blogs. You husband has one hell of a LADY RIDER!
Even though you may not have felt like it all the time you really are an inspiration......a ray of sunshine...no matter what you seem to always have a smile on your face:-)
Take care- I'm sure your husband will be glad to have you back home :-) lol

***HUGE Smiles***
YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never had any doubts, but I know you did a time or two. Looking back, I'm betting that little 'mini tornado' we rode through in Tennessee was a piece of cake compared to the nasty weather you've faced in the past week.
You poor baby - you look totally miserable in that pic where you're wrapped in the blanket. I can't wait to see the rest of your pics and see the smiling FLO that stole all our hearts down here in the 'states'!!
REST - Kick back and do NOTHING (and don't even start THAT until at least noon!!) LOL
Love ya Girl!

Hi Flo!
Gawd girl, we are SO PROUD of you!!!! We love you girl and are so relieved you are home and safe. We can't thank everyone enough that helped you along the way, what an incredible group of people, eh? :)
Give us a call when you get some sleep. We can't believe you go from the depths of hell in Death Valley to freezing cold in a matter of days. You ROCK! You did it Flo, we knew you'd make it.
Doc
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
Here's your song, Flo. You saw it and you lived it. I knew you could do it. Glad you're home safe. Now I can get a good night's sleep.
MOTORMAN!
