Post on VILR VANCOUVER ISLAND LADY RIDERS!

I started this forum about 6 or 7 months ago..VILR
VANCOUVER ISLAND LADY RIDERS.
After hanging out and getting to know all the wonderful ladies, and Cabana boys on WWR (WOMAN WHO RIDE) forum created by Donna Palladino, wife of Jerry MOTORMAN Palladino from
Donnathedoc, LadyinRed, Doc, has always been an inspiration from the very first time I got to know her on her forum. It didn't take long and I felt like I had know her for years. I loved to hear her stories of learning how to ride like a pro. She has such an interesting , and informative forum. You really should check out the highlighted links. Look where it got me!!
I used to be so envious that these gals got out riding and met and didn't even know each other. Came back with stories to tell of their riding adventures. Like Slaying the Dragon!!!! Even though I was so far away on the other side of the Continenant, Donna and these southern belles always made me feel right at home. I really had dreams of meeting her one day and some of the gals that were regulars on her forum. One day at the end of riding season, I decided to start my own forum. See if there was enough gals living on Vancouver Island that like to chat about riding or what ever.. Or wanted to ride of course. I mean the Island isn't that big, and if she could have gals on there all over the US, and get together to ride. It should be possible.
I went over to WWR and asked my girlfriends if they would come over and help me get it going. That day I had over 300 posts.. A good sign!!
Doc told stories of learning how to ride, and how challanging it was for her. You would never know that by watching her now. Of course being wife of MOTORMAN, she wanted desperately to RIDE LIKE A PRO.
Her and MOTORMAN run a couple of others also.
When I told Donna about the foum, she would send me private emails all the time and encourage, me not to get discouraged. Offered all sorts of help.
As of today, I have 7,314 posts.. That is over 1.000 a month.
Thanks Doc and WWR.
I am going to post some of the post I have had since the Conga is finished. For me, it is not finished, I will be reliving it for a very long time. It will be probably months before I finish this Blog. I have to revise and add after I make my posting for yesterday. This is for my friends and family and anyone who has not been on my forum, VILR, OR WWR, to see the build up to the last escort of this fantabulous Conga.
Here are only a few of the posts. And everyone was so afraid for me when I left of with strangers of the internet.
Hey everyone you'll be happy to know that Flo made to Courtenay as did my bro and
I...It was the worst leg of her whole trip. Ice cold and rain like I havn't seen
for a long time....we were frozen...could feel our fingers or toes..
But not to worry as a few of the SCRC 394 were there to rescue The Flo.
Mark rode La Reina the rest of the way to her home and Judy was kind enough
to give Flo a ride in her Car with heated seats. Poor Big E had to tough it out.
Anyway it was a great pleasure to meet you all finaly and I also now have some
memorys I'll never forget. You all are the greatest bunch of people that the good
Lord has ever put on this earth.
BLINGO THE BRO
Hi Blingos!!
So happy you have all made it home safely! What an amazing story your sister has written, I think it will be a #1 best seller.
Get some rest, warm up!
Doc
Definitely!!!
I'm thinking that too! Considering the miles she's logged in the last 3 weeks the poor woman has to be absolutely exhausted by now. Bet she sleeps until at least 11am.
Thanks to you and the southern gals for staying up and being 'watchful angels' all the way home for Flo.
Gotta say.. it was really really really really really really crappy last night..
trying to find a way to post the movie footage I took.

Thank you for a most wonderful adventure. I love living vicariously through you. I enjoyed the days spent with you and look forward to doing it again...I have definitly laughed and cried with you the whole way. It is hard to think that I didn't actually physically go with you. Many of the ladies feel the same way i am sure.

Flo........you have done something amazing!! Congrats. I sit here this morning at work reading every single post about your trip home and I am leaking all over my computer with mascara halfway down my face LOL LOL (So much for looking professional this am) Hahahaha. You were in my thoughts and prayers all day yesterday. I see that your ride home on the last leg was sh*tty needless to say. I wish it could have been bright and sunny for your sake after an incredible 3 week journey!
You have something to tell you grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews when you have a chance to catch up on your rest......most of us wish we could have done what you did!!
I do love the pic that your bros posted of being a drowned rat......it shows the reality of biking. It ain't always pretty.....but it is always an accomplishment!!
Way to go girl!!
Prairie gal from SK who was watching your successes!Nat.

I forgot to tell you that while I was at the bike night that I DJ, they were asking me about you and how your trip was going. When I told them that you were crossing the border yesterday morning they all let out a cheer and clapped for you Flo.
The ones that blessed your bike wanted me to tell you that you are an awesome lady and they are extremely proud of you for your accomplishment.
We will work on next years Conga ;)
