Handed off to Panzer & Sandy in Abequerque

Arriving in New Mexico, last day for Monte! Off to meet Panzer and Sandy!
Sandy (she needs a knick) Panzer, Flo, Monte! At the Harley Dealership in Albequerque!
Flo, Angie,Monte, Sandy, Panzer, saying hello, and goodbye!! I am always sad when someone that has been so good to me and rode so far, to say goodby, but with out fail, have been passed on to more wonderful internet friends.
Flo, Sandy, Panzer, leaving Angies house in Albequerque, New Mexico. Off on a new adventure.
Today is Saturday 32st... I have to keep asking everyone, everyday.."What day is today, what is the date today...What state are we in. I can't believe how fast things keep changing. The states move fast except for Texas!!!! Have I mentioned that I HATE TEXAS?? No not really, I hate the weather in Texas.

So Monte and I road to Albuquerque this morning, and I wore a jacket all the way. It was actually cool. Very enjoyable ride. It was a short ride of 160 miles to go meet Panzer and his wife Sandy.

We went to my friend Angie, who is not a biker but kind enough to disturb her neighbourhood with a bunch of bikes. I will be staying the night.

So Ray calls and says he is at a Harley Dealership getting some work done on Sandy's bike, and to meet him there. Perfect as Motorman, told me it would be time for an oil change. Whoa, was my Queen filthy...Lookin like a tramp!!
So off to the dealership for an oil change and a bath. Also I bought some highway pegs so I can stretch out my legs. Called swithblades. Panzer just finished puting on the bling in the driveway of Angies. I like him already..lol

Today is just a kick back day!! Couple hundred miles and resting up for our big adventure tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be ROUTE 66, and THE GRAND CANYON... I am sure looking forward to that. Should be some great pics coming up. That Panzer doesn't like his pic taken at all. I told him, get used to the flash in your eye for as long as I am around...We will be together over a week, so I am glad I got 2 gigs...Hey Doc!

Monte left half hour after meeting them, and is headed back to the oven of Texas. By the way Monte, you will be happy to know I bought a mesh jacket and will be wearing it!! Ride home safe girlfriend, it was an awesome haul!!! You Rock!! I'm always sad when I leave one of my new friends behind. The good thing, is there is always another new friend waiting.

I have traveled over 3000 miles with people I have never met in person before!! My internet friends!!!! Each and everyone I have felt I have known for along time!
Will post more pics when I get my puter workin again. Dang!!!!

The RLAP (Ride Like a Pro)Rig!!

Motorman pulls out La Reina-Queen of the Road!

Seconds after we meet at the Tampa Florida Airport.

Seconds after arriving at the Palladions. Motormand had her all shined up and waiting for me in the garage!!

I was Motormans first passanger on his new bike, with only 178 miles on it. He took me to my first Harley Dealership to buy some new boots.

Great experience to have been at one of their RLAP DEMO'S at a Harley Dealership. Motormans name up in light! Great show. He is a real comedian when he wants to be. Which is almost always.

Not to mention he knows his stuff, and has taught his wife to RLAP too. Most guys can't out ride DonnatheDoc!!

Their DVD'S sell like hot cakes. If you don't have one you don't know what you're missing!

Texas with Monte!!

Cool old bride in Texas

Beginning of trip! Thought we were going to see lots of cool scenery!

Arriving in Texas! What am I in for???

Monte getting ready to escort through Texas.

Here she is.. Lead the way!!!!

Our first little....U-turn!! Those darn GPS'S

I guess it ain't all bad!! Some nice scenery. Forget the name of this bridge, but it was gorgeous.

I will show you all the good pics first, as it certainly didn't have alot of good scenery to see. Long long deserted highways. We left early Wednesday morning. It wasn't so bad at first, it was overcast and very barable.
As the day went on it became very unbearable. I got so hot, I thought I was going to die!! Every gas station, I would take my shirt off in the ladies room and soak it up.

I have given up trying to look half descent at all. And I was worried about a blow dryer..lmao I would go with out a helmet, and it got so hot, I would go without a doo rag even. I know it is wrong, but no helmet laws, so I took full advantage of it. Got a little sunburnt I might add.

Monte wore the full gear, even a full faced helmet. I would go into heat exaustion even looking at her. She even gave me one of those cooling vests, but it was so heavy, and uncomfortable, I had to take it off. So I just opted to pour water on me every 10 minutes.

My favorite line, is I HATE TEXAS!! Man that state is never ending!! Every mile is like 10. I turn up my tunes and try to forget about things. Thank God for tunes. It would be horrible without them.

We rode about 360 miles of hell that day. Finally came to a little hunting lodge and decided to stay there. Tons of little deserted old villages. Miles and mile apart. Get a good night sleep and get away early we thought. Because we couldn't see our bikes from our room, we decided it was best to haul everything inside. That was a trip.. Next time I travel, I will bring nothing and just buy t-shirts along the way.
The people at the lodge were really nice, and she made me put a pin on her map as to where I was going and where I came from. I was the farthest both ways. A young boy about 12 was working there and totally inthrawled with our story. He asked me if I would PLEASE email him, and let me know how I was doing.. How cute!! I will have to do that.
From the very beginning of this trip, people are always asking...Where ya headed?? Of course I say... Vancouver Island!! The looks I get is quite funny!

Okay so we didn't get away too early this morning, as I had to pack up all my gear again, and get the dreaded faxing done for the customs. It is done, so hopefully when I get there it will be smooth sailing.
By the time we leave at 10am, it is scortching hot again.....We get some miles on and decide to stop for breaky. Can't remember what town it was, but the restaurant was called BILLY DEANS. This old gal, run it for 40 years. Doubt wether the town had 1000 people. Anyway, she wanted to hear the story, and she gave me $10 for the fundraiser. Sweet ol gal!!

Off we go again, and basically those scenery pics, are the only ones I have. The rest was pavement, desert, run down farms, cow, dead animals, and heat!!

It got so bad...I got kinda cranky.. impatient..and was getting sloppy even pulling in for gas. So we parked the bikes in the shade, absolutely soaked myself, ate a banana, drank some gator aid, and apologised to Monte for looking like a mad woman.. She just laughed and said its getting to you, and that means it is time to stop...
She is a great traveling partner, and road leader. Lots of patience and knows when I have had enough!!
So we didn't get to our destination again, in Albequerque.. We are about 160 miles away. Panzer is minutes away. He called tonight, and we will meet, but he says it is time for another day off. I have 3000 miles under my belt. Take a rest and do Route 66, Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Las Vegas. Dragon will be meeting us next week, to ride the Conga back home.
Probably next week, I will be complaining about the cold...No matter what, I am still having one hellova time. I wouldn't change any of it...Well maybe the heat..lol
Monte will be heading back tomorrow at noon, for McKinney Texas. Poor gal...She has traveled along way with me, and deserves a metal. I told her she could leave me and I would find my way to Panzer myself, but she wont consider it!!
More pics to come of the rest of the Conga in the very near future, starting right back at the send off, with my dear friends the Palladinos, and HippieJohn.
Bloggin is alotta work!!!

Leaving Lousiana Wed Morn in fog!

Those Southern gals pack a pistol, so Mirams hubby gave me his shotgun!! lol

Don't mess with me!!

Miram leads the way to Texas!!

Monte, Miram, Flo, Brenda, meet in Texas!

Happy hour at Sonic in Texas!

Miram and her cute pigtails delivering me to Texas!!

Another state!! The dreaded one, little did I know!

Brenda and Miram.. Brenda hurt her hand after she dropped her bike, joining the Conga, so she couldn't stay long! Hope you are okay!

Had a nice evening with Miram and Ronnie. Great hospitality, and a wonderful warm cozy bed, Computer to catch up! short time with Miram, but very enjoyable! Everyone is so awesome.

Left for Dallas in the wet fog and go a little wet and cold. Miram reasured me it would get better down the road, but instisted on taking me to her apartment and gave me a nice leather coat and gloves. Didn't think I was going to need them, until I hit farther north. Mind you it didin't last long.

Before I left I had my picture taken with a shot gun, as they all know I think it is pretty funny that they all pack pistols. Heck Kaye's husband had a gun rack on his bike.. Too funny.

Brenda & Monte met up with me & Miram around 10:00 am at the Cracker Barrel in Tyler. It's in the south west corner or I-20 & US-69. Brenda is a WWR but says she mostly lurks on the forum.

Poor gal, put her bike down today as she came to a stop, on her way to meet me. She rode with us for awhile but her wrist was hurting and went back. Apparently it might be cracked.

We got to to Monte's houuse (McKinney, Texas) late afternoon. We decided since we could take a little burn up the road 60 miles and snag another state. Oklahoma. Turned out more than 60 but at least iIsnagged another state. Get your money ready.. those who are donating for the state...lol We went down some back roads to see some nice big ritsy ranches here in Texas. I put on 400 miles riding around in the heat, or at least 250 in the heat.. Drank lots of water and poured lots on me.. I won't be disapointed to leave Texas!! But I imagine the next states are hot too

Thursday we leave for Albuquerque, NM. It'll take 2 days (700ish miles). Should arrive there Friday night/evening.
While we're here, we'll look at the weather & decide on the route. How far north or south do we need to ride to avoid storms.

Hooking up with Miram in Louisiana-Tues 27

Kay and I left the farm at 7 am to meet Miram and then I was to go to Texas to meet Monte! It was a beautiful morning!! It was only to be 3 hours to meet Miram. We weren't too late, but things weren't looking good weather wise at all. Decisions were to be made. We definitely were not going to Texas. Kaye had to go back home already missed a days work, and now she is going to miss 2.

If we booted it we could beat the storm and make it back to Mirams in Louisiana before the storms struck. I was worried about Kaye, but she made it back. We walked in the door to Mirams and 10 minutes later the skies opene up. Whewww!!!

I guess things are meant to be, as I am catching up on my blog and emails and posts. I did ride almost 300 miles in spite of it all. I have now rode just over 2000 miles and 8 states. Suppose to do Texas tomorrow, and from what everyone is telling me it is like 3 states long and never ends. And HOT! Tomorrow I meet another WWR sista!!
We are to leave at 6 am, and apparently the storms don't start till early afternoon.
Keeping my fingers crossed for no storms. Some towns have been completely wiped out in Alabama.

Time with MoChrome Kay-Tennessee Sat/May 24

Saturday we were to meet with Kaye, I can't remember what time it was suppose to be. All I know is we were about 4 hours late!! Do to some picture taking, a late start, and a U-turn by UEee for a helmet... I know UEee it was for me and I really appreciate that!
At this point I had ridden, 1000 miles, with this nice helmet, that Miram hadgiven me. It had the American design of the flag on it. I wanted to wear it badly as i was proud to be with all my American riding buddies, and it was a gift. Only one problem, it didn't fit properly and was chewing up my ears. So I had to have a new one. I also bought my first piece of chrome with an American flag attatched to add to the back of the bike. I want a Canadian one on the other side, when I get to Canada.
I believe the name of the Park was Fall Creek Park, where Kaye, her husband Phillip and a friend Gary were patiently waiting. At least it was a beautiful park, and the riding through there was full of twisties. Good ones.

As soon as we passed them, they recognized me, on my Queen, as Kaye rides the same bike and close to same paint job. So he comes to catch up with us and by the time he got there, Gypsie and my bikes were laying there on their sides..
Yup...another downer...2 more Drop Sisters. Only thing, was I am at fault for Gypsie going down. I was parked on a hill pointed right, wanting to go left and and lost ballance. Gypsie was too close to me and over we went. UEee couldn't believe his eyes!!
Y'all okay girls??? We got up high fived, laughed if off and got over it!!
Cheeky Phillip comes up an says...Now Flo I never expected to see your bike lying on its side when I first met you!!! Those were his first words to me..

We run up beside Kaye, and she had us laughing in the first 2 seconds. Well that was a mess if I ever saw one!!! Hugs, laugh, and says, now I hate to push it, but dinner is ready and it is 3 hours away.. We gunned it all the way to her house.. Me, UEee, Gypsie, Kaye, Phillip!! We werea all stayin there!

We had a great evening lots of food, laughs. omg, I was out numbered, they all talk so funny ;).. I had to film it on my new camera to take it home and show everyone. I will post pics and stuff, when I get on my own puter. Great time was had by all.
I had my very own little cabin. Country cabin, with all sorts of funky hunting stuff and antiques. I was told I wa grounded off the bike the next day for a days rest, and she meant it!!
Thought I lost my camera in the morning I had everyone hunting for it. We though Kaye put it away, cuz she was cussin at me for taking so many pics. UEee and I both dug throught the garbage. Kaye and Gypsie had to do a shake down in the cabin even tho I had done it twice. Bottom line I hid it in my boot and will never hear the end of it...
Sure wouldn't have wanted to loose all those pics!!! and Voices!!

We said our goodbyes to UEee and Gypsie... hate those good byes!!

Seeings as I wasn't allowed to ride, Kaye and I went to town, to try and buy a phone for me.. had it all bought and because it was a holiday and I am Canadian, I was not allowed to get it...Hmmmf!! Didn't want the dang thang any way!!
I never knew I could have so much fun in a department store. She is hilarious!!
A fashion statement to I might add! She looks HOT when she rides. A bikers wardrobe to die for!!.........and she packs a pistol!! I am in safe hands I would say.
We also went to my favorite store in theworld... Goodwill. Had a nice relaxing fun filled day!
Monday morning we are ready to roll, all rested up and off to meet Miram.. We were off to a good start and planned to go visit Elvis, and then a Harley Dealership, and get to meet Miram in Light Village Arkansa.
None of that happened!!! The severe storm warnings started...Never mind the warnings we were in it.. Thank God, I had my raingear. The wind picked up instantly!!
First you see a dark cloud appear from nowhere. From the time, Kaye points up at the nasty cloud, the drops start, and the wind picks up, and the bags, start coming outa the ditches, and the lotus (huge honkin bugs) come in packs flyin at me, hitting my face and windshield. Smacking away. Kay ducks down to hide behind the windshield so I follow suit. Try with all my strenth to keep the bike on the road!!
Great, where is the next station so we can gear up?? Had to pull over, the mascara was running in my eyes and I was going to have to stop riding, with pain in my eyes. Pistol packin kaye continues on....Got us to a garage and off we go again, trying to meet our time with Miram..
Finally she pulled over and said... This is taking the fun out of this..and it is suppose to be fun.. We aren't going to make it, and certainly not alive, and Phillip or Motorman, or Doc, would say.... PARK IT!
Thank goodness Kay's sister in law didn't live to far away so off we went there to stay the night.
Miram was very understanding, and we told her we would head out first thing in the morning and try again.
No more rain please!!

Off to Tennesse with Gypsie & UEee!

Off we go for a nice leasurly ride with just the 3 of us. No problem, we are only running about 3 hours late! Poor Kaye, waiting for us a Fall Creek Fall.
I was having helmet issues, so we had to back track to the bike place and buy a new helmet as the one I was wearing was chewin up my ears. I was trying to suffer it out as it was a gift, and it had the American flag on it!! I already rode over 1,000 miles trying to be proud and it was enought!!

Instead I decided to buy me an American flag to attach to the bike, and save my head... The young man was kind enough to put it on for me. I went to pay for it and he said $75 please...Shite!! My first piece of chrome!!!

Off we went again, and really did some nice riding, on twisties and mountains. We passed the LittleTennesie River.
Finally meet up with Kaye and hubby Phillip, I guess we passed the in Fall Creek Park, and they spotted us..

First words out of Phillips mouth were, Now Flo I never expected your bike to be laying on its side when I met ya. Here was my bike and Gypsies bike layin all pretty on its side.
Flo had another spill and Gypsie was to close.. Domino!!
Man!! UEee looks behind him in surprise. Gets off his bike to see if we are okay, and by this time we are up and laughing and high fivin!! We are now one the the Drop Sistas!!! Sun/Holl/Flo/Gypsie
We ride back to where Kay is.. introduce ourselfs........quick hug, and laugh, and a few choice words...lmao!!
Kay says, now I hate to say this but we got to go, dinner is ready, its gettin late, and it will be dark by time we all get back!! The road going back was kinda like the Dragon..Sheees...so much for the lesurely ride!! All good tho!!
By time we get there, we are tired exasted, hungry, and full of laughs and trying to get to know each other. Which took about 5 seconds!! None of us had met in person.
I got my own little cabin out back... We had another great meal, tons of laughs. Now if I thought the others talked funny you should hear, Kaye and Phillip.
I got out my trusty camera and video clipped them. Then of course put it in a safe place as the battery died, and I would have to charge it.
Next morning I couldn't remember where the safe place was and everyone was looking high and low for it.. We knew it had to be around, but WHERE??
Kaye and Gypsie decided that after the garbage had been gone through twice it was time to do a shake down in my cabin. I'm tellin ya it wasn't there I told them!! Nope I even check my boots of all places, and as I did, for the second time...there it was!! Don't think I will let that one down. I need rest, my brain is not functioning.
So today, Kay grounded me.. Absolutely no riding!! We drove to town and spent the day in one of my favorite places. The Goodwill..then came home and washed our bikes for the trip out tomorrow. Kaye and I ride the same ride, we are going to look sweet going down the road, same color and all.
Kaye is a kewl gal!! Hilarious I might add!!
Tomorrow we are getting up and hitting the road early off to meet Miram. Got to do about 400 miles I do believe....Night all!!

Slaying The Dragon! May 23 Friday

We left Wolfies mountain at 9:am. Mr. & Mrs Wolfie, Vi, Flo, Sunflower! For some reason that Driveway of Doom, didn't look so bad. There were no rabbits to run over either. Wolfie takes the lead.

We are off to Murphy North Carolina, to meet up with Gypsie-UEee-Beth-Danny-Gene-Shelly. It was so cool to pull up to that gas station and see another 6 bikes. I saw them and recognized them all right away. Big hugs all around. Like we had known each other before. Amazing that you can be such good friends from just the internet. Amazing, I was going to slay the Dragon with all these fine American people. The roads getting there were awesome too. Nice twisties and beautiful scenery all through the Smokey Mountains.
Vi decided she wasn't ready to Slay the Dragon, also Holl, so they took the Cadilac and tail gunned us all the way.
I know why UEee got his name UEee. He likes Uees!! That's okay, sudden U-turns just add more to the story. There was a sign that said Lovers Lane and we thought he had a last minute change of heart. Really he made the wrong turn, so Flo conintues on, as it was a sudden change, and instead of having an oops and going down, I went ahead, did a Ueee, on a bit of a hill, trying to turn it around on a soft shoulder.

Sunflower decides to come check on me and follows suit. Here last words to me, were, "Ya'll okay Flo" ...Sun goes down....New knick for her...Not Sunflower, but Sundown!! No harm done, they boys help her pic up her bike.
On we go looking for the Dragon.......... Can't remember how far we went, but I am saying to myself...hmmm, this must be the Dragon, as holy Crikey, there is some hairpin turns here, and I am scrapin the floorboards....So we come up to this stop finally and UEee says...Okay, Flo here we go, to Slay the Dragon. I said, shit, I thought we just did it!!!
We pull up to the look out get some awesome pics of everyone, and Sunflower gets bit in the cheek by I am sure a bee.. Just another little ISSUE!!
We are all wearing our ISSU-TSHIRTS.. that Doc gave us.. She was going to be with us, so we had some cool pics taken for her.
It was only 11 miles but had 318 curves, it earned its name, and I am proud to say I SLAYED THE DRAGON!! Got a kewl pic taken by Kilboy, and I have to buy it on line.
We got finished way later than planned but probably a good thing as there wasn't as many bikes and vehicles on that road as usual. All worn out and now dark, and cold we had still aways to go. We kept asking UEee how long...Only 10 minutes!! Right UEee, those were the longest dang 10 minutes, and 10 minutes. As we were getting ready to leave the parking lot...Mrs Wolfie put her bike down. Oh dear 2 in one day!! Off we get going, and I start duck walking my bike. Definetly not Riding Like a Pro this evening all I want is to be home, just like everyone else. We were all done!!! I nearly put my down, but managed, barely not to.

We finally got back to Gypsie and UEee's for a down home burger night with all the fixins... Love Gypsies baked beans, and potatoe salad, and UEee makes a mean burger!! They have a great home, and took us all in. Beth and Danny left that night..
You should hear her accent,...way to cute. I mean all these people talk funny, some have stronger accents than others. But they all make me laugh. They tell me I talk funny!!
We were all to leave at 9 am the next day, but we were all worn out from the Dragon and got a late start hitting the road. Gypsie made us a real nice breaky, to get us started!!
Holl and Wolfie, left first!! Gypsie, UEee, me, Sun, Dale, Vi all took off at the same time, and Vi left out on her own to return back home also.
We put 234 miles on the Day of the Dragon.
Saying good by was not easy to all these wonderful folk. So SunFlower and Dale go there way, and Flo, Gypsie, UEee, ride off to the next destination to meet up with Kaye/MoChrome.

Pictures to be posted at later date!

Time with Vi and Cindi!! Wed May 24th

Off we went, Vi, Cindi,as Highpriest couldn't make it as she was sick. So Vi came all the way down early as I was suppose to be dropped of at her place.
We never got very far on our bikes and got caught in a rain storm. The girls saw it coming. It just looked like abig ol dark cloud to me. They decided we weren't going anywhere. So we hung out under the garage where we filled up.
Holy Crikey when the lightning struck it lit up the sky. Then the skys opened up!! Wide!! We were standing there talking and I thought it was massvive guns shots that went off, but it was lighting!!! I have NEVER hear lighting like that before. I thought to myself, this is it, our first leg and I am going to be riding in the rain, with out rain gear!!! They promised me it was going to go away with in half an hour, and it did and got hot and sunny again. Bazzar!!!
We rode to Richmond Hill where Vi lives, Cindi lives not too far away, and off she went. It was really nice meeting her and putting a face to her WWR name. Cindi rides a Victory Vision. What an awesome ride she has. She owns Renegade Leather in Savana.
I met Bruce, Vi's husband, very nice guy, even tho, I didn't spend much time with him. We dropped(put, not dropped) the bikes in the garage and Vi took me to bike week where we went for dinner and had a beer won a t-shirt each, and off too home to sleep.
We left Vi's house at 9am..She is a very good road leader and knows where she is going most of the time. We were to meat Micheal in Metter and didn't arrive on time, which of course meant we werent going to be on time meeting Sunflowers.
The reason we weren't on time was we had to take a quick scoot over to pic up the t-shirts we won, and of course snag the corner of South Carolina. For some few extra bucks for the fundraiser I am doing. Ha!!!
Now Mark, and Willi this is for you, I didn't buy anything in SC, but you will see a pick of me standing by the sign, hope that counts. Went outa my way for ya!!
We arrive at Madison Georgia where they had been waiting patiently for 2 hours. Met Dale her husband visited a short while, took some more pics, and head towards Ellijay. Things went with out hitch other than we got misplaced for a short while. No sweat Sun called her hubby and he looked at the map. I do have my GSP that dear Doc gave me.. But after riding 10 hours at this time none of us had the brains to use it. Easier to call home.
Okay so by this time the sun is going down, and its getting chilly. By the time we got to Wolfies Mountain, we were FREEZIN, TIRED, LOOSING IT!! Crawlin, can't see very good anymore, just really looking forward to the
DRIVE WAY OF DOOM ON WOLFIES MOUNTAIN!!
Wolfie came to meet us gals which was onl 2 miles away, 2 long miles at this point. Back ache, cold, don't wanna do anything scarey at night!!
HTBD..HAD TO BE DONE!!
So off we go, and I have to day, after what we had just done, I swear I was going to go down, took every freekin muscle I had left in my body to make it over them pottlholes and grass...and RABBITS.. I nearly killed a rabbit!!
But... I did it!!
Sweet Holl was standing there at the door waiting to greet us gals, feed us and put us to bed. That was around 9:30
I didin't think I was going to make it till 10:00
Anyway,we stayed up a couple hours and then me and Sun got on line, reading posts. You all are so wonderful, posting away being all concerned about me. I think about everyone and wish I could post more. Knowin you all are with me makes me smile.

Wishin you could be with me!!
Now I won't be able to post pics for awhile unfortunately but hopefully everyone who I meet has a couple pics of the conga crew for ya. and updates incase getting to the puter doesn't happen. I lost my office back in Florida.
So today is the DAY WE SLAY THE DRAGON!!

At least at this point we are suppose too. Everyone is still hurtin and the weather isn't lookin to good. Sunflower is still sleepin. Vi is posting, I am bloggin, Holl is sortin out the clothes I am suppose to be pickin up.

By the way, some gal out of Newfoundland..I want to thankyou for the vest you bought of Holl for me to put all my pins on. Thankyou that was very kind of you. I will wear it proudly. I have 3 pins now and one from Newfoundland.
It is 9:00 am and we are suppose to be on our way. We are running late again.

You all have a good day, while we go...
SLAY THE DRAGON!!!!!

Leaving the The Palladinos

It's Wednesday,May 21st, all packed and ready to go. Got the helmet cam ready for Doc to put on her helmet. Motorman also has a camera attached to his bike. What a guy!! I can't believe he is coming!! I feel totally honored. Of course I do with Doc, but I knew from the beginning she was coming.
Motorman has made sure that I will be fine on the trip, he even put a tool kit in the saddle bag for me. So I got a bike that fits with the shaven seat, tunes, tool kit. And much more. And by the way, he shined it up for the last time.I will sure miss that on the road.Apparently the love bugs get pretty nasty.
God, I'm going to miss my 2 newest best friends!! They have so good to me I am still in awe! How the heck will I ever thank them??
We are leaving at 8am to meet up with HippieJohn, Becky, and I believe Dave.

Later:
Well we got away. This is now Friday. Let me see if I can back track and fill you in on how things went. Right now I am on Wolfies Mountain with Mr. & Mrs Wolfie. I will come back to that.
We were all riding a long great with our RIDE LIKE A PRO SHIRTS on, smiling away. I was trying not to think that I was leaving the Palladinos but goin on to my next adventure. I had the tunes turned on,the weather was great, the cameras on. Our first pull in was at a Harley Dealership to meet up with Trish. She could only ride for awhile. But hey, it was really nice to put a face to her name,as I feel I know Trish from WWR. She had her pink helmet on with Pigtail. I gave her, her conga bracelet. She rode with us for about 35 miles on a short stretch of the Conga. I forgot to mention when we pulled in me behind Hippie, and he does this great U-turn and of course I try to follow and very sloppily!! Get off the bike. Motorman says YA LIKE THAT CURVE FLO!!! WHY WERE YA LOOKIN AT THE CURV?? With a grin of course.
Now I have to say Motorman, gave me little lessons along the way, he was watch me like a hawk, never mind with the camera. At stops, he would say....Now Flo don't forget to look ahead, not just at Hippies tail lights!! Can't say how many times that has helped me on the road since.
Riding a new bike is a little challanging so I need all the help I can get!!
Also Motorman wasn't afraid to give me a smile when I was doing the right thing.
.
Wed 24th "THE FIRST STOP and DROP!!!
YUP!!! That is what my dear friend DONNATHE DOC, calls it. We pull into the McDonalds parking lot. Hippie does that lovely U-turn, and I follow, hearin Motormans voice. I'm thinking, don't be lookin at that curv Flo, ya don't like it. I say to myelf...No front brake...and I didn't,but it was on a slight incline and I could feel like I was loosing ballance with all that extra luggage on it. I start wobbling, loosing it, and then you hear that dread throttle come on high, and I lost it....and dropped it... Quickly shut of the engine, laid it down as gently as possible. I will say I said...CRAP... BUT... knowing me, it was alot worse than that!!!
Then, I hear that voice again..."So Flo...ya gonna stand there looking at it, or are you going to pick it up??? Guess who??? Motorman, you Rotter, Iam thinking it is now at leas 150lbs heavier than it was when you taught me how to pickit up!! I'm thinkin he was jokin, he will help me...Hippie, he would help me...My buddy Doc..Now normally she would say...Oh Jerry!! Don't make Flo do that!
NOPE!! All my beloved friends turned into Rotters...lol
I looked around now believing I was on my own. I'll show him..and him.. and her... and all those friggin people that were in the Mc Donalds drive through watching me, thinkin ....ya right, she is gonna make a fool of herself trying to pick up that 900lb bike.
It did take a couple of trys and Hippie was kind enough to at least put down the kickstand, that i forgot to do. Then Motorman was kind enough to put it on video. lol
I DID IT...THANKS MOTORMAN FOR TEACHING ME!!!!
So we all sit around McD's having lunch waiting for the next escorts, Vi/Snowball and Cindi/Trixie. Of course a whole lot a pics were taken, and we said our good byes to everyone. Damn it was rough for me!!
Where's that damn kleenex box when I need it??? 3 of the finest people I was leavin behind. Crikey, glad I had sunglasses on, me and Doc bawlin like fools.

I just know MOTORMAN is going to miss those flashes infront of his eyes now that I am gone. He did give me alittle pep talk before he left. His last words were..
Flo don't do anything I wouldn't do!!

I Love them guys!!!
Got them on video riding away!!!!

Motorman and Doc surprise me!!

My lovely seat!!

I got tunes...Thankyou Motorman and Doc!!!!
Doc figured I couldn't travel 4000 miles with out tunes...Love Ya!!!

Getting ready for the tour!

Ready!

Okay I'm running around doing this and that, packing, calling, blah, blah, blah.

Doc calls me and say Motorman wants you he is in the bikemajal!!

Okay Doc...What does he need?? She says he wants to know if you like music. I'm like ...Ya love music....good says Doc go look!!

Well, if he hadn't installed this awesome radio system with CD player right on the windshield.
And my SEAT!!!!!!!! YOU KNOW MOTORMAN AND I HAVE SEAT ISSUES!!

He put this go put this awesome chrome trim rim around it. Wow does that set that beautiful seat off!!

I went out an bought a new piece of luggage as I could see the dispointment in his face about how gross lookin that tatterted ol thing from Mexico looked on the back of the Queen's seat! He had a big smile. It did look hidious, can't look hideous.

Paper work-phones-customs- insurance YUCKY!!

What a pain in the butt!! I have been on the phone all day long. Finally got my binders insurance right from Cambell River by phone. I have 31 days to get home safely and am insured for 5 Million.
Got my transit permit to cover all the states. That was easy!! $4.50
But try to get through to the the customs is a royal pain. The phone rings all day long. Still no luck.
They have changed the site on line, so now I don't know where I am. I have a couple weeks so I am just going to relax and see if I can find some advice. Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated.

Last day at Palladinos :(

Here's one of my favorite pics!

The beach in Florida, went for an awesome ride and stopped for lunch.

We had "Issues"yesterday..lol

And they think I take alot of pics!! Motorman says he has had light spots in his eyes for 5 days!

Today is pouring rain!!! Unreal, and I am sure glad I am not traveling in that. Florida is sad I am leaving so the skys are crying...LOL

The plan today is to get the rest of the paper work in order, call and fax custioms, get my binder insurance. Pack up the Queen!!!

We certainly won't be going on a ride. So some special time to get a quality visit in the Donna and Jerry whom have become very good friends.

More unkown bikers

And more unknown bikers

And somemore unkown bikers!

I dont' know where to start! It was a day Doc and I planned to get stuff done! It is Monday morning. I hate Mondays. Reality is to start the freekin paper work.

It all went well at the MVD Motor Vehicle Day...lol That all went good and smooth to apply for the permit to go through the states with a temporary visa. There was a cranky ol lady named Irene!!

She was not having a good day. Do you think it was because Doc and I went marching in with our "I have Issues" t-shirts. Whoa...cranky pot!! Doc wanted to give her a t-shirt...

Anyhoo, things went good there other than I had to pay an extra 600 and some buck for taxes and such.. Whatever, that is the way it is. We didn't think it was because it was being exported. Not to mention, my damn credit card wouldn't work so Doc bailed me out again for short term. Me and my credit card. Been having problems since March 11 in Mexico.

So I pay taxes I didn't know I would have to pay, big deal, havin a time of my life, its all freekin worth it!! Get home to make the phone calls to the Canadian boarder and ICKY BICKY...ICBC.!! Vaction!!! right forgot, been so long since I been in my own country!

As Im trying to make the calls, my freekin SKYPE decides not to work and I can't remember my sign in name, or pass word. Who bails me out again...DOC DOES ...Flo not havin a good day!! That is my only way of accessing money, my credit card that doesn't work!! AARRGGH!

Ok, it can't be all good all the time!!! ya it can, cuz when ya got a sistah like Doc she makes it happen!! Not to mention Mr. Motorman..he surely knows how to put a smile on your face too.

Doc and I had a lovely day going for a ride and lunch on a beautiful place on the beach! Laughin and telling stories. It was such a treat riding side by side beside DonnatheDoc!!

I was sitting here working on my pics and things, and Motorman asks me if I had ever gone 4 wheelin before.. not!! Well I was about too... what a hoot. Again, having trouble down loading movies at the moment.. What a thrill and I will have to share that with you soon. 4WHEEL RAZOR RIDE

Later I just mentioned to Motorman, if he thought I could pic up my bike.. Of course he said something to the effect!! I don't know... if you do it right you can!

Tell it like it is Motorman...Depends on if I am paying attention ...Right???

So he gave me a quick lesson, and guess what... I did it!! pics later when I can figure it out!! I'll show you he says before we head out for a ride...

Show me

Well I did it!!

They ask me if I want to go for a ride with HippieJohn tonight or meet with the group he hangs with. My response was what ever works for the two of you! She tells me Motorman decided he wants to go and we will have dinner there.

Okay off we go and there is all these bikers, lots, but apparently not as many as there usually is.

All of a sudden HippieJohn, gets on the micraphone, to tell the story of WWR CONGA and how I am travelling 4,000 miles give or take to get home, and that there is a pastor here to give La Reina a blessing to make sure I got home safely.

I was overwhelmed. How kind of everyone. Thanks Hippie and all of you wonderful bikers of the U.S. that I have never met before.

Blessing La Reina...My Queen

I dont know the name of ya'll, as I told you I need glasses to read your card.
I promise to send you my blog in the morning so you can follow to make sure I got home safely. Thanks again, that was very special!

We had a lovely nice warm night ride home. Not a bad day to a bad start. Sad to say that my last day with the Palladino's Ride Like a Pro team is tomorrow.

Oh ya...one more thing for the finish of this fine day was that Motorman sang me a song....he can sing!!!
