5,000 Miles in Kalamath Oregon Friday!

Hey all.. We left um...where were we this morning???..Susanville California..
I rested!! I kept the curtains closed, so no one would tap on the door...Mr. & Mrs Panzer...lol
They knew I was tired, and I was, but also trying to catch up on the blog and posts etc. etc.
I have been taking every ones advice, to get some rest and take control, of my bike, situation, and don't do what I am not feeling capable of doing.
Today the plan was to meet up with Dragon. She has boogied her butt down to meet with us from Vancouver Island. Now there is a girl, that isn't afraid to do it on her own, come rain, snow , or whatever comes her way. We were to meet her in Klamath Falls. Of course she got there two hours before us...
Why????.........Because she was excited about getting off the Rock and to getting to a couple of States, and she had never been past Seattle on her bike. She hit lots of rain, and snow, and major cross winds, and on a Sporty, that is a challenge.

Anyway, this morning was beautiful, looked like a perfect day of riding. I had a good rest and was ready to ride.
There was a bunch of bikers that had over nighted at the same place, and of course you know the biker camaraderie of bikers... We all talk to each other. There was about 8 by themselves, and the Queen sittin all alone. I told them they had nice bikes and then the conversation began. There was this gal entering a competition with her bike. It was HUGE.. I can't remember the name, a Yamaha, stratoliner or something like that.. Okay don't laugh, but it was big and gorgeous. I said to the hubby.... Is she a big girl, tall, and all?? He said nope... and she rides the hell outa her. She came by and she wasn't that big. Hmmm. I thought to myself.. If she can do it on that big bike, I can too.
So they told me I had a nice bike too, and asked me where I was headed. I told them I was headed to Canada...and they said WHY??? I had to laugh cuz I knew what they were saying.. It is freeking cold up there, why would you go??
So I told them my story of the Conga and the trip and putting it down 5 freekin times!!!! About the RIDE LIKE PROS, I gave them a card.
They felt bad for me and were giving me all sorts of advice and said it was a great story and to ride safe home. Of course I was afraid to ride away with them all watching but I did fine... sorta.. a little jerky!!
Off we go, with I thought enough clothes on.. 2 t-shirts, and 2 light jackets,a sweater , the one jacket I have that was given to me by a very nice Conga gal,(thanks Miram) barely fits, and definitely not with anything underneath.
Needless to say a few miles down the road, I had to stop and double up on gloves,(thanks Sun and Miram) put my electric vest on which didn't work!! I am bloody freezing!!! A few minutes later along comes a coffee shop, need coffee, more clothes, put on my fleece long johns, neck warmer (lepard, thanks Kaye)
We were suppose to be meeting Dragon, but heck I gotta be warm, and besides, the Panzers were freezing too. How can we go from DEATH VALLEY heat to this in a matter of a day. This is only the beginning of the cold.
We get to Klamath Falls and there's the Dragon, waving away at the side of the road. We are now in Oregon by the way! Big hugs all around.
She tells us of her travels and how she had been suntanning for 2 hours in her leathers.
They are talking about another 2 hour ride to the next destination. I looked at them and said....Uh...no, let's just stay here!! Come on Flo, let's go!!!
Shit... I am trying to be strong and get some rest and y'all are pushin me.. I am going to hit 5,000 miles, NOT kilometers, and y'all want to ride... I am stayin..
Proud of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's all good, didn't take much takin and we went around lookin for a room. A cheap room!! Dragon says we are sharin, I say no, it aint a good idea.. I snore, and I am on the computer till midnight, she says so, so do I!!!
We found a cheap room for $75 bucks, not my idea of cheap, but whatever.. It works.
Dear Panzer trys to get my wiring set up so I can be wired like the rest of them. Ya know electrified vests!!! I hate cold, they all gonna be warm and I am gonna freeze. My vest decided, it doesn't want to work. I was so happy that there was already a plug for that. I remember asking Doc if there was and she said no.... How the hell would she know??? She's from Florida!!! Lmao.. I bet she never tried those wonderful heated grips either!!! I love them by the way Doc!!
We are all settled in for a nice quiet nite, and then the Dragon says....I'm thinking about slayin California!!!!!!!! I asked her if she was outa her mind, that it was freezin out there, but off she went, She is back home safe and sound, which is good.
It is all good again, we are gettin along just great, we are on the same page, but I think I am going have to ride my ass off, when we get on the road. She is a rider for sure.
Tomorrow we are headed to Bend.. Not until 10 am will I allow them to leave before. We will end up in Yakima Washington!! I dont' want to ride, THAT FAR..IS THIS COLD!! I am not happy with the COLD!!!

It's all okay!!

I have been thinkin about things. I know everyone is worried about me from time to time. Who wouldn't be, dropping a bike 3 days in a row. 5 times in one trip.

I know I should be getting a little more rest. I agree, but at the same time I do have to go withthe flo and who I am traveling with. Everyone has shcedules and have been kind enough to come out and ride with me. And I appreciate each and everyone. Many that haven't be able to ride with me, have given me awesome support and believe me, it feels like y'all are riding right long beside me.

My intentions are not to get anyone to feel sorry for me. I just wanted to keep track of all the happenings. All the good and all the bad. There has been way more good than bad. The bad is just another experience. Even though it is hard to write it down and share what is happening, when I feel like a tool. It is apart of the trip.

I will learn from my mistakes and maybe others will too. Alot of advice I have recieved, was before I left and didn't listen. My fault!! Next time I am sure to take and extra pair of jeans and and extra shirt and undies and that is it... For any long trip as you do buy along the way. Or mail stuff home regularly!!!

Thank God MM, made me leave half my stuff in Florida. Next time I will have more time and become more prepared. But unless you have done it before, ya dont know. No matter what people tell you. Besides I was traveling with strangers and had to have something (I thought) I left from Mexico and just had no idea really what I was in for or needed. I didn' need much. My internet friends took very good care of me.

So it's all good everyone!!! I would do it again in a heart beat!!

When I look at it in different clear eyes I say..... I just traveled across America!!~

One day I will be able to say... I just covered the other half of America. Or I rode across Canada. The only changes would be... Is I would then be in charge alittle more of where I am going, because I won't be so scared. I wouldn't be so afraid to be left alone.

I mean look at Dragon, she has only been riding less than me, and she is traveling down from the Island to meet me alone. That girl has balls.

I have met some fantastic people, helpful, kind and caring. None of whom I have met before. Except now when I meet Dragon today. I met her once. Many will be friends for life. We have all done the best that we can. It is only natural there will be problems along the way.

I am going to take everyones advice.. I am going to stop putting myself down (no pun intended)... That was from Beth!lol

I am going to be proud of myself instead of beating myself up for dropping La Reina....or El Diablo...(the devil)..LD!!!!

I am going to take a little break or stay in bed a little longer.

Going to look into having the shocks lowered or the seat dug out alittle more. Buy some higher boots.

Stop and smell the roses. Ride only 300 miles aday!

Love you all and thanks for all your concern. Everything is and will be okay. I am just writing my thoughts and happenings down each day so I wont forget.

Heck maybe I will write a book someday or get someone to write it for me.(hint, hint, you know who you are)

I watched this, this morning and it gave me encouragment.. Hope you enjoy. CLICK ON THIS....MOTOMAN TALKS TO FLO

Got to go find a Dragon this morning. Have a great day, and don't worry!! Everything will be okay!
By the way, it has been confirmed that CHECK NEWS WILL BE DOING A STORY ABOUT ALL OF US! ME AND MY INTERNET BIKER FRIEINDS!
WAY TO GO JOSSIE!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

A little bit of Sunshine!!!

I got a good sleep in that little town! I fell asleep to the howling winds, and almost wished they would continue for a day or two, with the same nasty winds and sand storms, so I would get locked in for the day.

I peeked out the window and there was these gorgeous snow capped mountains and the sun shining brightly. I opened the door and it looked so fresh! Glanced over at the Queen, looking so pathetic, and filthy and not very happy! Closed the door and decided to go back to bed. That lasted all of 5 minutes.. I couldn't go back to sleep so I got on the puter to answer some posts and sort some picks and have a coffee.

A tap on the door....Hey Flo, how ya feelin today? We are going to go wash the bikes, do you want to come?...No thanks.. I feel like a truck ran over me from the last tumble. No sweat we will see you back here.

After I read the post from Motorman about 10 times. I knew what I had to do. Pack up all my shit, and mail it off!!! Lighten the load. Get out in the parking lot and start practising...

So I told the Panzers, I would practise and go with them. I got on the little (big) wench, and started her up. Jerk, jerk, jerk!!! I looked at Sandown, and said... I can't do it!!! It is not me, something is wrong with her. The look on her face, I know she felt bad. Panzer looks at me, like you can do it!!!!

I go around the lot again, horribly, get off and said to Panzer. Please will you take her for a ride around the lot, something is terribly wrong!!! I know how to ride. Something is wrong!!

He gets off and says... Nope.. Flo, nuthin wrong, sorry, it's you. I said, then fine.. I rode her 4,000 miles now all of a sudden I don't know how. She is not for me, and I don't like her! I can't do it!!

I could see the sad looks on their faces, and I really didn't know what to do, so I said fine...let's go wash them if I can make it!! Off we went... I took the box of stuff to the post office, even that was frustrating. Simple but frustrating, and Sandown, must of felt it cuz she took over. Man feelin like a whimp, we went to the carwash.
Got them all shined up, and was feeling better looking at her. Panzer was singin away, and smilin, and the vibes were running on to me. See Flo... she is happier now, she is clean. Show her who's boss! It's going to be a good day! You're doing better.
Alrighty then, off we went, he said only for a couple hours to Reno. 200 miles. The air was fresh, cool, fantastic scenery, and some nice smooth twisties. Good smells in the air. All my stops were working out. We drove to this little town, and found a guy who works on motorcycles. He fixed the throttle, and was really interested in the story. I got a video of him, and he asked if I would send the blog.

The day continues on good, every stop, we are all smilin. Panzer gives me the thumbs up all the time. Well most of the time, except for a few jerks.

We stopped for a nice dinner and he asked if I was ok to ride another couple or 3 hours. I said, nope only one. Three hours later, we are cold and tired from a very windy ride to our next destination, which didn't turn out to be Reno.

Iknow he is feelin bad about that, he is suck holing to me. The town, was farther than he thought and he thought there was little towns in between.

The good thing is.. I didn't put her down!!!!!!
Tomorrow we are suppose to meet up with Dragon. Hopefully she will need a rest!

Tubbleweeds Down in Death Valley (wed)

Today is Wed, I know that, exactly 2 weeks today, I left Florida! I have to say I am totally feeling it today. I feel like I been working out for hours and my body is aching. Yesterday was rough, and I was sure today was going to be better.

I guess with a name like DEATH VALLEY, there is a reason for it! Holy Crap! And I thought Texas was bad!! We did have scenery to look at though.

We left the Casino in Vegas fairly early in the morning. Right in rush hour traffic. Not a great way to start the day with confidence after dropping the bike for the 4th time yesterday. I can't believe how I was feeling. Afraid of my bike. I already rode it 3500 miles by this time and should be getting easier. Trying to get over it, and not think about it. Now that rush hour is over, we pulled off to check the map.

Panzer says, this is going to be a nice relaxing day!! I believed him. It wasn't too hot, we were off to an early start. Headed for California by noon. Actually it got cold and we had to pull over and get some warmer clothes on. We got into some really nice little twisties to start. The wind started picking up a bit, but nothing to bad.

The scenery gorgeous again, the red rock mountains. I started seeing signs for Death Valley, and was really curious as to what it was going to be like. As soon as you got there, it was like out of an old movie. Deserted, dry, hot, tubbleweeds, emptiness. The heat started picking up and we made a couple stops here and there.

One nice place to buy a t-shirt and pin. Of course of a skeleton riding a motorcycle in the desert that says... RIDE HOT RIDE FAST with the tires on fire!! I was starting to feel just like that. I took everyone suggestion to leave a coat on so we would die in the heat! Burn to a crisp!!

The winds started picking up big time!! The roads were long and straight most of the time, but when a curv did come you couldn't smooth it out too good, because of the wind. It was so bad, we had to duck down behind the windshield and hang on for dear life!! I am so not exagerating at all. I thought to myself. 100 miles of this. I aint going to make it.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the wind brought up sand. yup sand storm. Hitting you in the face like pebbles at first. Squinting my eyes so I could see enough to get through this oven of hell. Tumbleweeds blowing around. Just like that nasty weather you see in the old spaggetti western movies.

I was thinking to myself.. nice relaxing day alright. I hope it ends soon, but at the speed we had to go it was going to be a long one.

So Panzer pulls over kinda quickly I might add with not alot of room. He was worried about us. I am thinking holy shit!! But I pulled over and you guess it!!!

I went down again, on the right side this time..... Not to worry I am here to tell it.

I lost it.. started to cry like a baby... how bloody embarrasing is this. I have to tell the whole world and I am seriously wondering if I am going to make it home.

I thought about it some more and told myself I can't let it keep me down.. Or I wont make it home. I mean shit, that was a hard days work with sand wind and mascara in your eyes. With cross winds of at least 50 miles per hours.

A little pep talk from Panzer and Sandown, and I started to shake it off. If I didn't laugh I would not be able to get back on the road. I even let her take a video of me after.

I am not sure what is going on here tho, my bike was blessed, had a gremlin police bell, good luck feathers and pink balls hanging from it.. HELLS BELL IN DEATH VALLEY... Nothin is working. maybe if they weren't there it would be worse.

I did some damage this time, snapped off the end of my brake handle, my bell got all scraped off and came off, the Blessing sticker is curling up. The pink balls are turning black. There is a little scratch on the gas tank.

So just when I think it can't get any worse. After I get back in the saddle, along comes the DRAGON in the middle of DEATH VALLEY!! Yup, that road I slayed on the Dragon, it was worse down here, and longer.
Ask me if I felt like doing it then. I had no option. I hated every single second of it. I was so tense, I could feel me fighting back the tears again. Whenever I glance to the right, I would see no railing and a big honkin hole in the ground. I kept telling myself look where you want to go!! Look through the curv. one after another and another and another. Normally I would be lovin it!! I felt real bad for Sandowner as she was behind me and I thought maybe she would want to go faster. But with the wind I doubt it.

Nothing was feelin good, my front brake handle had slid down. The throttle was stuck. I was in constant cruise control. Crikey God help me to get through this. There is no pull off and I wouldn't want to take the chance any way. I am just hopin Panzer is reading my mind when I get down from the curvs.

I just had to roll the throttle back and be careful when I changed gears. I tell ya I am exausted writing about it as it all comes back. So we bring out the tools and dont have the right one. Adjusted the brake handle, but the throttle is still sticking. No problem... I made it this far, I will just have to deal with it until we get parked for the night. Hopefull this town has a harley dealership. I know it doesn't but possibly a mechanic who may know something about Harleys.

Off we go again and up come the winds more and the sand dunes. Thank gad it didn't last to long and the next town was only 15 miles.

Pulled into this nice little place. The winds are still howling like crazy so who knows what tomorrow will bring!! I was so tired I couldn't even park my bike.

I am not feeling like she is a Queen anymore. I feel a new name coming on. God I am so sad that we can't work things out!! I love her but she isn't lovin me. I am missing my Blinga these past few days.

I think I have a new knick... TumbleWeed!

I got my clicks on Route 66

Man, I have to say it is hard to remember the days, I gave up wearing a watch countries ago, I think that was in Mexico. I went to put in on when I was in Florida, but then every state I went to, the times changed. Okay, maybe not every. I would get on the puter for hours, looking at the time and it was Canada time, so I would go to bed a 1 and really it was 3am. So I do believe it is June 3.

Off we left for ROUTE 66.. Funny how cracked up ,it is made to be. I actually had a fabulous time in a couple of stores. The road isn't too impresive, no curves or twisties to speak off.
This one store we parked in front of , his name is Angel. He is a old Mexican guy and lived there all his life. He has done everything he can to keep it alive. He is a barber and that is how it started out on Route 66. Of course that interested me!
I had my picture take with him, and will post it in my shop. We bought a bunch of memorabilia, and could have bought the whole shitteroo, for me Bro Blingo and his cool garage.
But with all the traveling I have been doing i got about as much room for a couple more pins for my vest, and nothing more.. You can go on line and get all this cool stuff any way.
We parked outside his place had our pics taken with him. His place was absolutely full of tourists from all over the world. A very friendly man. When we walked in, he said.... Hi, Welcome home!! I had no idea who he was at first! So once we went out to get on our bikes, it was like being celebrity's. Everyone wanted to have their picture taken with us.. Whooo hooo, 15 minutes of fame on Route 66..........Time to leave, and as we were leaving I glanced down at the milage since we left our motel.. It read.........66.6

I was feelin pretty proud even though no one could see. I then switched to the milage of when I left the Palladino's. It turn 4000 clicks on Route 66!!!
I thought that was totally cool, and seeings as I was on my way to Vegas, those would be my lucky numbers. I said I would play $66 that is it, what ever i won, half would go to charity. Panzer said the same.

At the end of Route 66 was a Harley Dealership, I believe it was Kingston. Of course I had to buy a cool Harley shirt for me and my man, and another pair of gloves as my blew out of the luggage.

So down the road we go to head to Hoover Dam, before Vegas. First it's time to fuel up and get hydrated again.
I am mostly behind Panzer so here we are turning right onto the highway from the service station, on a hill, no problem I came to a complete smooth stop, with my head up. I put my feet down, and the left side was in a bit of a rut, so there she goes AGAIN!!!!
That friggin sound of the throttle ya new no matter how hard ya try, you were going down. No matter how much you know you can't pull it back up, you keep trying!! Down she goes, Panzer to the rescue again, no way could I have picked her up with the frustration, the heat, and the aching arm. It still hurt from putting her down to rest in the sand. Argh!! I am not happy with myself!

So that delays us awhile, while Panzer and Sandown gives me a pep talk. Panzer straightens out my highway pegs. I try to straighten out my mind. Am I loosin it or what?? Is this bike that I travelled so far for and had so much fun getting to know, is it too big for me?? What can I do to fix it, other than buy platform boots.

I am trying to follow all I learned from Motorman and Doc, and I feel I am riding good through town, around twisties, my corners are great, but my short assed legs...Arggggh!!!
Okay so enough of that, we headed to the Hoover Dam and man oh man it was a cooker.. Driving through a huge big pizza oven. I am trying to wear a coat, seeings I can't keep the bike up, but it is hard to do. We have our little rest in the airconditioned gift shop and I am looking at all the traffic building up!! I look down at the dam, and damn... look at those twisties!! 15 mile per hour.. I am still not over the drop....I can do it, I can do it...
I know Panzer was reading my mail, because you don't just drop a bike and get over it!!! So he said his distance, and we hardly got out of town, and there was a Casino and he pulled over and we booked a room.
Things will get better I thought, go have a shower and dinner, go spend 66 bucks to win some for the charity. Dinner was great, and great company!! Lots of laughs, and another pep talk.
Y'all might have guessed there was no winnings!!!!!
So I try to hook up the internet in my room and it just isn't working for 10 bucks and a credit card which I don't have...another story!! I came down here and spent 35 bucks on the internet..lol. That was last night, this morning another quick 20 bucks to finish my post.
Today is a new day, and I may as well laugh at my errors, cause cryin about it, just gonna make me feel bad. Think positive , and postive things will happen.

We are headed to DEATH VALLEY this morning, sounds pretty scarey to me..lol Sounds pretty dang hot anyway!
No pics again today using the hotel puter. Got some great ones to share and they will be worth the wait!!
On the road again!!!

June 2 Grand Canyon.

Another great day, we left the Holiday Inn for the Grand Canyon. Absolutely amazing scenery. Everyone knows what the scenery is like I am sure, even if you haven't bee there. There was little trading posts every where to buy gifts of Navajo jewlery, pottery etc.
We came apon these two HUGE high rocks standing alone across the street from an Indian reserve. They are called THE ELEPHANT FEET. Years ago they used it to do their religous ceremonies there. They were so gorgeous, I thought it would be a great place to have just one more picture taken of the three of us.. Great Pic and I will show you later. (as usual, I am having trouble with my computer)

It was good and it was bad!!

I put the Queen down in the white sand, it kinda just laid down for a nap... like I felt like doing.. Of course I tried to pic her up, but not a hope in hell. Kinda ripped a muscle in my arm trying.
Panzer took over thank God. Got that on video and it is pretty funny. So I tried not to let it bother me. What happened was I was looking where I wanted to go, and the last minute I looked where he was,and I didn't want to go, and I went down like a magnet..
Shit, Motorman, probably is shaking his head!! Take that shirt of Flo, ya ain't ridin like a Pro..
So we ended up making it to the Grand Canyon, and spent all day riding there and hanging out. Taking lots of pics.
Panzer finally says...So Flo... ya finished takin pictures of Rocks???
Those men, I tell ya!
I say, I put up with your U-turns you put up with my picture taking..lol

Speaking of U-turns, it was time to look for a place to stay for the night, and we head towards Route 66. I think his U-turns are rubbing off on Sandown, as she said there is a nice little town back, back I say just a few miles. As the town we were in had some scarey lookin motels. Even I didn't want to stay in..
yup...tired and exhausted, we went about a 50 mile U-turn. No problemo u-2!

The money situation was becoming a problem because of my credit card ATM, ISSUES... Long story at the moment, I don't have the patience to tell a short story!!!
Anyway, I finally found an ATM, that would actually accept MY card. I was beginning to think that, it was my imagination, and every one thought that I didn't have a freeking dime.
Well, I don't but I do have credit, but I think they were doubting that anyway. Man was I a happy camper with a couple bucks in my pocket going ding a ling a ling!!! Ching Ching!!! There is a God!

hA...I remember Panzer saying to me.. Now Flo, yur doing good, but next time when ya travel along time ya got to get your cards sorted out!! ha... Panzer, I been tryin to sort this card out since March 11 in Mexico ya know!!!
It was all feelin good again even tho I dropped La Reina today, I got money, I got friends, and I can afford a room again.. lmao!!
We got to this cute little motel in Chino...Cheap 58 bucks!! A hellova lot better than 158 bucks!! holiday Inn.. Thanks my friend Panzer, more my style anyhoo.

I was so dang tired and a soar arm, that there was no way I could park that bike in the gravel. I had no one to impress, that Panzer parked it for me. Sundowner, was showing me up, she still had it in her to ride the gravel and park that Baby!
No internet, it is tough not posting, cus it is tough remembering. When ya hang with these two, your memory stick gets lost from time to time.
Anyway, not much going on in this town, not even interntet.. so we bought a couple of beers, sat outside, told stories and all went to bed early..

In the morning Panzer says to me.. Sleep good Flo?... No internet, safe and sound with the key left in your door all night!!

Pictures to come when I can get it together!
Sometimes it is tought being a Canadian in America!! That ol money issue!! I was having issues and it was time to find a place to sleep again.
Now I know this U-turn will only take about an hour!!!

Monday June 1 (I think) Four Corners Continental Devider!

I have ridden about 3600 miles, and at least another 300o to go!
Today's sunset in Arizona!!
On our way to 4 corners , to snag 4 states!
Just before the drop on Continental Divider, bottles all along the hillside. Sandy and I

Panzer and Sandy. He by the way hates having his picture taken, and I told hime he would just have to get used to it for the next week. I probably took more picture of him, than he has in a life time. I need my memories of all these wonderful people that help me get lost... ;) Continental Divider, a place where Sandy will never forget, dropping her beautiful brand new 08 Softail. She is starting to think of it as being pretty special spot. Good attitude, Sand-down!!
Here is where we bought these cool t-shirts of the 4 corners and Route 66. Had to show you the t-shirt, if you scroll down. That is how we felt riding in the heat, the hills, the desert and all the U-turns, and the drop!
But we DID do 4 corners, 4 states in one day! Who's gonna pay????
Whooo hoooo!! We made it even if it did take awhile and a couple gas tanks full!
This is what we felt like at the end of almost 500 miles of riding!!

Today was a very eventful day!!! I am really to tired to be bloggin, but hate getting behind.

We left Albequerque late this morning after taking Angie out for breaky. Angie doesn't ride, but she was a great hostess and sat 2 hours or more at a Harley Dealership with us.

Okay so up until yesterday, I had never met Panzer and Sandy, so I was off on another adventure to discover how my new escorts rode. It didn't take long to figure out...this man can ride..and loves riding..

He waits for no man......or woman!! lol!

Gone like a shot in the dark. I was forwarned by Dragon, who will be meeting up with us around Thursday, that he RIDES!!!! He also like U-turns!! UEee, if you are reading this you definetly have competion out here!!! I think he is going to get stuck with the knick U-2! We had a few of them, where he pulls over to check the map after riding about 30 miles. Sandy just gives him the sweet smile!! That was when we were looking for the 4 corners. He is MILES AND MILES ahead of us, as we stop and take a pic every 10 minutes, he says!!

Anyway New Mexico is absolutely gorgeous! Canyon type mountains, or rock, whatever ya call them. Amazing to see. We are headed to the Continental Divider.. Off Panzer pulls to the side of the road, where the sign is so that I could have a pic under it. I have to say the side of the road sucked. It was soft and had a ridge to get back up on. It was not looking a pretty site to get back on the road and go back where we came from.

I was having a flash back of where I dropped my bike in the same situation, pointed one way and wanting to go the other, on a hill, in mushy ground.. Only this was on a hill in a curve with who knows what would be coming around that curve. I'm thinkin...no, nope, can't, don't want too, ain't gonna do it. I am not gonna go down again!!

Sandy (Sandown)...Yup a new member of the Drop Sisahs!!! Shit, that beautiful, brand new, Softail, layin there.....Cripes.. I ran over to help pick it up as I feared what was going to happen. I looked up the road and Panzer was coming back, and I started to grab the places I was suppose to grap to lift that sucker up. No bars to grab. All of a sudden, this guy with a worried look on his face jumped out of his truck and the two of us had it up.

I felt terrible for Sandy, but she said right away... Damn, I knew I shouldn't have done, that, and I was duck walking my bike instead of giving it throttle.

It really sucks, but she handled it like a trooper, no damage to the bike. I told her she was now a member of the Drop sisters. Something be wrong on the Conga girls... Motorman, would say we were looking down, so we went down!

Now I had to go and try not repeat the action!!!! I ain't gonna be lookin down, and I am going to lead that Queen, and give er some throttle. Wheeew!!! I did it!

Okay back on track, we head for the 4 Corners, that is where 4 States connect at the corners. Being I am getting 45 bucks a state for the fundraiser, it had to be done. Panzer says it's only about 60 miles out of the way, and it's for a good cause, and they hadn't seen it so let's get er done, and go find a place to stay and have an early night. I guess it depends on who is leading, cuz the way he rides, it could be done really fast if he didn't like those U-turns so much. We went the wrong way!! The right distance, but the wrong way!!

No problem to me, we are riding, so don't matter what direction. We could always do it the next day. But we did it,and had some laughs over it too. I think he lost his memory stick as Sandy would say!!!

It was hot by this time, and I gave up my new mesh jacket, helmet, and lost my gloves, they flew out of my luggage going down the highway. But like I said, the scenery was fabulous, so the heat was bearable. And I had my tunes!!!

I am learning to hang back from U-2 just incase he decides at the last minute, he lost his memory stick again!

Sandy and I stopped along the way to take some pics of a most amazing sunset. Hope hers turned out better than mine.

We finally find a town to spend the night, and Panzer pulls into the Holiday Inn for crap sake!! How much Panzer??? Oh I dunno... 140 bucks, whatever, I am tired and hungry and they have a restaurant right here. I looked at him, like...hmmm, I tired, and broke and will go with out eating..lol, I am going to look for that Best Western I saw, they are nice and affordable.

Off I go. I couldn't find it, and am not riding too good at this point of exaustion again. There was another hotel, so I pulled in and these 2 guys saw me pull in. Big smile on their faces. I nodded and said, Good evening, and got off my Queen. By this time they were standing beside their bikes staring at mine, or me, which I doubt as I was lookin like a old weather beaten bedraggled, lost sole.

One guy said...Nice Bike!! Nice SEAT!! Cool pain job, Cool stereo system, as it was blaring when I rode in. I said, well thankyou very much!! I asked them how much the rooms were and they were like $20 cheaper than the other one.

So they asked me where I was from and if I was alone. I told them, I was with friends..bla bla, and I was from Vancouver Island. That I bought the bike in Florida and was riding it home. Told them of the fundraiser, and that I stayed with the Palladinos, are you familiar with them??

They said they were from Montreal, and yes they had the dvd's and always wanted to ride like the Pro's. So I said, I took the course and they are my friends. his words were....God woman, I don't even know you and I already love you!!!

Ha!! Thought that was pretty funny. Then they said, go stay with your friend girl, you deserve to be with your friends. And so I did. We had a nice dinner, and it was a great ending to a great day!
